Approach and Philosophy:

Karen believes that all human beings seek to develop, grow and learn – to become the best they can be. She works alongside you to identify your challenges and goals – in therapy, in your career, in life – and then explore practical strategies to help you to achieve them. Drawing on evidence based frameworks such as Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Human Development theories, Karen helps you to first clarify what is already working for you – your strengths, your experience, your successes. This enables you to work on questions and problems you are experiencing. From this strong base, we are able to consider new ways of seeing, behaving and feeling so that you can become more aware of your own strengths and limitations, more confident in dealing with life’s challenges, more effective in your actions and, ultimately, become a wiser person who impacts positively on the world.
