Having worked at various settings including schools, universities and non-governmental organizations, Ganesh has experience in working with children, adolescents, adults and low-socio-economic populations. Ganesh has also gained experience in administering a range of personality and cognitive assessments. Having studied and lived in multiple countries, he has experience in engaging and creating an impact on individuals from linguistically diverse backgrounds. Aside from English, Ganesh is fluent in Hindi.

Ganesh uses an eclectic approach to therapy which is very dependent on my clients presenting problem, personality and an understanding of what therapeutic methodology would be most suited for them.
His focus in practice is on developing a caring and trusting relationship by taking a person-centred approach to counselling. This encourages the client to express themselves freely without the fear of judgement, building the foundation for a therapeutic working alliance. Establishing a good working alliance, Ganesh uses Motivational Interviewing to help facilitate change and Psycho-education to increase awareness and produce empowerment. Drawing from a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy, he explore values, thinking and behaviour patterns to understand where the client desires change and how it can be achieved. Ganesh further provides clients with mental skills training including mindfulness, relaxation techniques and stress management to build resilience and self-motivation in achieving their goal.
