John believes the primary reason an individual or couple seeks psychological assistance is to avoid destructive behaviour. His aim therefore, is to help the individual avoid choosing a destructive pathway, enhance a sense of safety and self- awareness and thus increase the likelihood of the individual choosing a creative outcome.
Often we can feel in the grip of self sabotaging and destructive behaviour in the face of an overwhelming risk/opportunity situation. John Bacash is very experienced in a range of evidence based approaches to healing which develop self- awareness, ownership and freedom to choose creative outcomes in the midst of such overwhelming experiences.
John Bacash uses an integrated approach to a wide variety of very different techniques according to his experience and training including: Psychoanalytic, Analytic, Client Centred, CBT, Mind Body Mindfulness and Type and Trait theories of personality, along with Critical incident debriefing and trauma counselling.
