Ms Lia Mcinnis is a registered (forensic) psychologist.
Lia has completed a masters degree in Forensic Psychology and is a specialist endorsed Forensic Psychologist. She is currently completing her masters in Clinical Psychology via correspondence. Lia is registered as a general and forensic psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
Lia is a registered and practicing fitness instructor with Fitness Australia.
Lia began her career working with teenagers and their families and communities at the Department of Juvenile Justice. From this she branched out into private practice and began working with clients of both a forensic and clinical orientation. For the past three years Lia has worked in an assessment capacity completing forensic and family assessments for Court, as well as in a counselling capacity providing treatment for both forensic and clinical clients.

Lia enjoys working in a holistic fashion with all of her clients, bringing together the psychological and the physical wherever possible. Lia is passionate about using positive, solution focused techniques to bring about results. Clients will leave their sessions with Lia with goals and tasks focusing on both their psychological and physical health and wellbeing. Lia works side by side with her clients, utilising treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Mindfullness based therapy.
