Experience:
I am a Social Worker in private practice and provide social work, EAP, general counselling, family mediation, family therapy, dual diagnoses AOD & mental health counselling, NDIS and other therapies. I worked in areas of personal, social, community, forensic, and disability mental health, which included working at Thomas Embling Hospital, Disability Forensic Assessment Treatment Services (DFATS), and Ravenhall Correctional Centre (Men). Currently, I teach AOD, mental health, and community services at TAFE at Melbourne Polytechnic and hold a casual academic role at several Australian Universities, which includes the University of Queensland and RMIT University. Previously I worked for Swinburne University of Technology, Victoria University, and the Australian Defense Force School of Languages (DFSL).

Social work practice such as person-centred therapy (Rogerian) and strength-based therapy (Rapp, Chamberlain, Kisthardt, & Weick), and system approach (Bertalanffy); family dispute resolution mediation (Family Law Act 1975); structural family therapy (Minuchin); and narrative therapy (White & Epston) just to name a few, but the list is not exhaustive.
I employ the use of a mixture of all the modalities as aforementioned above. I do not strictly use one over the other. I use what is useful for the client’s healing journey.
