Ross Anderson

Experience:

Ross is in full time professional practice as a psychologist working with people presenting with a broad range of conditions. He has a particular interest in the effects of acute trauma and chronic stressors, anxiety and depression, drug and alcohol dependency.

He has worked with Banks, Building Societies, workplaces and public incidents as a first responder to scenes of significant trauma. In this role he became well known and appeared as an expert witness in trauma related matters at Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts. Regular presenter on TV and radio including ‘60 Minutes’. He was also instrumental in the introduction of Victim Impact statements.

His extensive experience includes – Queen St., Hoddle Street and Port Arthur Massacres and workplace injuries and fatalities; assessment and therapy for victims of crime (robberies, sexual assaults including victims of clergy, assaults); armed and emergency services. In recognition of his work he was asked to be a contributor to a book by Dame Jane Goodall: Goodall, J., & Lee, C. (Eds.). (2015). Trauma and Public Memory. Palgrave Macmillan.

He also founded Anderson Rehabilitation Group a multidisciplinary service specializing in chronic musculo – skeletal injuries; chronic pain syndromes; occupational stress and workplace trauma.

He has also worked with the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Business school and Mt Eliza Executive education. During this time he was the Director for the Public Sector executive education. He has also worked with the Centre for Creative Leadership in Brussels, Shanghai and Singapore.

Ross brings a depth of understanding and experience to his professional practice and is known for his warmth and compassion.
