Experience:
Barb has over 15 years’ experience as a Social Worker and Counsellor. She is passionate, adaptable and works ethically, and is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships, with a client centred approach.
Barb is dedicated to the achievement of positive change for clients and the wider community, through accurate assessment, effective evidence-based treatment and collaborate engagement.
She has worked in a number of settings including Child Protection, Victims of Crime, Family Violence, Addictive Behaviours, Mental Health, Family and Relationships and most recently in Private Practice.
A key strength of Barb’s is her patience and empathy for her clients, as she acknowledges that change can often be slow and that therapy is an experience not an explanation.
