Experience:
Gia has over 14 years’ experience as a generalist counsellor. She is a passionate, driven and adaptable counsellor who works ethically and is committed to building strong therapeutic relationships, with a client centred approach.
Gia is dedicated to the achievement of positive change for clients and the wider community, through accurate assessment, effective evidence-based treatment and collaborate engagement.
Gia has worked in a number of settings including Schools, Private Practice and within the Welfare Sector.
A key strength of Gia is her patience and empathy for her clients, as she acknowledges that change can often be slow, and that therapy is an experience not an explanation.
Gia specialises in addiction counselling and working with young people (children and adolescent age groups).
