Experience:

Jill is a transformational therapist; passionate and dedicated to share evidenced-based modalities to empower people to transform their lives. Jill has spent the past 15 years working in the mental health industry, helping people to transform through diagnosis of schizophrenia, bipolar, addictions, anxiety, phobias, and many other symptoms of mental distress.  Jill’s firsthand experience of trauma led her on a journey of self-transformation, invaluable in assisting others to create the best version of self, learn what self-love is all about and explore how to live a rich and meaningful life with all its variations.

Blending transformational therapies such as Mindfulness (Living in the present moment), faster EFT (Emotional Focusing Transformation) (Tapping) changing how we represent things in our minds in order to heal, ACT (Acceptance Commitment Therapy) accepting what is out of your personal control, and commit to action that improves and enriches your life, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), Family of Origin Therapy (exploring origins of beliefs), Schema Therapy (exploring and managing triggers) and Forgiveness Therapy.  Some relaxation therapies include Breath work, Gratitude and Open-Heart Meditation as well as exercise/diet.  Jill keeps up with the new research regarding Mind/Body connections realising that our thoughts create our own reality. Treatment Modalities:

She uses a basis of trauma informed practice which is a strength based framework grounded in an understanding of the impact of trauma emphasising physical, psychological and emotional safety creating opportunities to rebuild a sense of control and empowerment.  She also employs a range of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Open Heart Meditation,  Mindfulness Meditation and Tapping (Faster EFT  – Emotional Focused Transformations)  to achieve positive results for her clients.

Clinician is available for onsite counselling as well as telehealth on Wednesdays.
